Watch Them Fall: Wonderfully Made

    Hello everyone! Today I have for you an amazing post from a good friend and my old small group leader. What she has to say is so crucial, and so important in life: you are unique; don't blend in!! I pray you would take her words to heart- but even more importantly, that you would take GOD's word to heart. Love you all!

   Do you know how amazing you are? Seriously, I'll say it again. Do you know how AMAZING you are? Don't just take that for granted. You possess talents and abilities that no one else has! You are uniquely made!! There is no one in the world like you. You are destined for greatness! You have so much potential. Don't be discouraged when you see other peoples lives on social media. Social media only portrays the best parts of our lives. Everything is filtered and catered to show the best parts of life.

​   But social media fails to show the hurts, the trials and the pain. I love social media, don't get me wrong, but it is a dangerous place. The danger with social media is that you start comparing your life to someone else's life without knowing their journey, their obstacles and their struggles. We all have them! Know your worth. When you get discouraged about how amazing you are, remember God's truth. Filter negative thoughts with positive ones.

   Your thoughts are crucial! Your thoughts determine your actions. If all your thoughts are negative, well, let's just say, your life will reflect those thoughts. The best way to stay encouraged is to remember God's purposes. Literally memorize verses so that anytime you get a negative thought, you can combat it with a positive one. Here are a few of my favorite verses that inspire me and remind me of how God created me.

   "But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:31

   "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10

   "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful,I know that full well". Psalm 139:14

   Challenge: In a journal, write down who God says you are and read it to yourself every morning. 

    My prayer for you is that you know how wonderfully made you are. You haven't even scratched the surface of what God intends for you.
